セブ留学レポート；英語プレゼンテーション全文と動画

こちらセブ島にあるビジネスイングリッシュスクールMBAで英語プレゼンテーションをやらさせていただきました。

内容は自己紹介を始め、仕事、趣味のことをお話しさせていただきました。

僕は多趣味で、当社の社長を始めとして、多数の方々にトレーナーやコーチをお願いして僕の人生を支えていただいています。

僕は基本なまけものなので、誰かに見張っていてもらわないとサボってしまうからです。

健康維持としてやっている、キックボクシングのトレーナーは現役の日本ランキング１位の方で、トレーニングメソッドは、「ヴァルテックス　メソッド」といって、自分の限界を少しずつでも越えていくというコンセプトを教えてくれています。昨日より今日、今日より明日の自分が成長するために、敢えてきついところに取り組むというトレーニングです。

元キックボクサーの美しい奥様共々、僕のフィジカルとメンタルを支えてくれます。

次はダンスです。４０過ぎて始めたサルサのことと、現在もお世話になっているバレエの先生のこと、３年ほど前にサルサのコンペティションに出場したことを発表しました。学生時代の部活並みにハードなトレーニングでしたが、やり終えたときの達成感は今まで味わったことがないほどのものでした。

プレゼン当日にサルサのデモンストレーションをやることになり、昼ごはんを食べないでダンスの練習をしました（笑）

当時は、サルサの練習を優先しすぎて社長に迷惑をかけたなー（笑）

続いてスペイン語です。

スペイン語は、東京の四谷にあるスペイン国営の学校に３年通いました。ヨーロッパ文化は奥深く、これをきっかけにバルセロナに一人旅をしました。サルサを始めるきっかけになったのもスペイン語学習からです。

サッカーも好きで、少年サッカーの審判のボランティア活動をやっていたこともあります。

パエリアの作り方を覚えて何回も練習して、スペイン語のクラスメイトとパーティーをやったりしました。会社でもそろそろやりましょうかね（汗）

そして、好きな映画「ラスト ナイツ」について。この映画は紀里谷和明監督のハリウッド進出作品で、シナリオが忠臣蔵をモチーフにしており、国籍を問わず共感できる、武士道、騎士道、忠誠心を描いた映画です。

監督のプロモーションビデオ（英語）をディクテーション（聞いて書き出す）したものを自分で訳して、その後先生にチェックしてもらい、スクリプトを完成させました。僕は映画のクオリティはもちろん紀里谷監督のマインドや生き様にとても感銘を受けています。

その影響もあって、僕はビデオグラファーとして、友人のフォトグラファーやライター、モデルさんとコラボレーションして、ビデオ制作をやっています。現在実績があるのはサプライズメッセージ、自分のプロジェクトチームのPV、フィットネスのPVがあります。これからはバースデーメッセージ、ウエディング、ドキュメンタリーなども撮りたいと思っています。

最後に、現在留学を支えてくれている日本の英語講師と、現地セブでお世話になっている先生に向けて、自分の目標と、これまでのお礼を伝えました。

自分の目標の１つ目は、英語のコミュニケーション能力を高めること。

２つ目は、英語を使って海外で仕事をすること。

３つ目は、世界中の人と友達になること。です。

Good afternoon everyone!

Thank you for coming for today’s MBA Friday English Presentation.

For today’s presentation, let me show the agenda.

Firstly, my self-introduction and secondly, my supporters namely kickboxing, dance (salsa & ballet) the Spanish language, movie and English.

All questions will be entertained after my presentation.

 

Let’s begin by looking at my self-introduction.

My name is Noriyo Yamauchi and my nickname is Kyousei.

Please call me KYO.

I am 49 years old (still young looking and young-at-heart).

I am from Imabari City in Ehime Prefecture.

I moved to Tokyo when I was 21 years old.

Now, I live in Ichihara City in Chiba.

Near The Tokyo Disney Resort.

 

 

Next, I will talk about my work.

I am an engineer in an oil company.

I have been doing this job for 25 years.

This work allows me to travel to different places and meet different people.

That’s why I like it.

 

Now, I will tell you about my hobbies and interests.

I like kickboxing.

My trainer is an active kickboxer.

He is currently ranked number one in Japan.

His method is “VERTEX METHOD”

Beyond the limit. Over the top. I feel better now than before.

I got one more pleasure.

 

My trainer’swife is the original kickboxer. Now, she is the official trainer of Nike. She is so beautiful. I want to learn from her.

 

Let’s move on to another hobby which is dancing.

I’m good at dancing.

My dance instructor is a Chinese.

He is from Shanghai’s National Ballet.

 

I go to a dance school at least twice a month.

After the class, we meet at night for dinner.

I have been practicing how to dance for 5 years now.

 

The next slide is a starring team of instructors representing Japan.

The dance competition was held in the country.

And I have performed on that dance stage for two years in a row.

 

Doing the practice is very hard. I always get tired.

Ask the audience: Do you know why I am popular with women?

Because I am good at dancing so it is almost always that a good dancer is popular with the women.

 

Now let’s move on to my interests: the Spanish Language

Ahola !Tengo otra manía. Estoy Estudiando Español.

I have been studying Spanish for 3 years now in Instituto Cervantes Tokyo.

Spanish culture: I like.

Also, my favorite sport is football.

 

I play soccer with my friends, but I only play sometimes.

Ask the audience: Do you know why?

Because I am always the referee. I am too old to play it and I easily get tired when I keep on running.

 

In addition, I also like making Spanish food.

I am able to cook paella well.

I make a paella on weekends.

Let’s have a party if you want.

Let’s have a party sometime.

 

Moving on to my next interest: My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is LAST KNIGHTS.

” Last Knights” praises the spirit of the samurai.

This movie was directed by a Japanese director named Kazuaki Kiriya. The  first film ever produced in Hollywood.

This movie tells about all great stories, all great people, the people praised in the history of this earth,; they always listened to their inner voices.

They didn’t just care what other people thought.

They didn’t just care about what the society or, what the other value tells you to do; they just simply followed their hearts.

 

He is a movie director and a photographer.

I truly admire him.

 

Moving forward to another interest: as a Videographer.

This movie is my project team “OMOSHIRO PROMOTION”

I make any video.

My product is creating birthday and marriage messages, music promotion, sports activity, and documentary films.

We are making projects through cooperation and collaboration with many

photographers, screenwriters,and models.

Everyone is my friend.

Moving on to the 2nd to the last topics: My English Teacher in Japan

I have an English teacher in Japan.

And she is very supportive to me.

 

 

And lastly, let’s take a look at: My English Teachers in Cebu

Finally, I want to talk about my goals.

I will stay in MBA for 4 more weeks.

My short-term goal is to improve my English communication skills.

Meanwhile, my long-term goal is to use English for my job because I might go to other Asian countries.

And I do hope to have many friends from all over the world.

2016年7月17日に横浜港で行われた花火大会を見物してきました。

当日はクルーズ船を貸切り、海の上から迫力のある花火を間近で見物することができました。

参加できなかったメンバーには大変申し訳なかったのですが、仕事を頑張って来年は隅田川花火大会に、またクルーズ船を貸し切って行こうではないかと全員で誓い合いました。

I cannot speak much English,bat having said that I’m a performer.
セブ留学に来てからちょうど１ヶ月が経ちました。
まだまだ英語のスピーキングが出来るレベルには程遠いのが現状です。そんな僕ですが、今日は８０名程のオーディエンスの前で英語のプレゼンテーションをやらせて頂きました。

パワーポイントのスライド作りからスクリプト作成・編集を５日で仕上げ、練習とリハーサルを繰り返しました。僕が準備期間に考えていたことは一つだけです。オーディエンスが楽しめるものをいかに創るか。これだけです。

リハーサルでティーチャーからのフィードバックを素直に受け入れて、ジョークの話し方を練習したり、「ステージでサルサを踊ったら盛り上がるんじゃない？」っていう無茶振りを当日に提案されても笑顔で応え、「プレゼン当日ぶっつけ本番、練習なし」でティーチャーとペアダンスを踊ったりエキサイティングで貴重なプレゼン体験をしました。

プレゼン内容は自己紹介から始まり、仕事のこと、趣味のこと、英語を使って外国の人々と交流したいということ、そして英語学習をサポートしてくれるティーチャー達への感謝の気持ちをまとめました。

準備期間中は、とにかく人が勧めることに疑問や反抗心を持たないで It’s OK !! って言い続けました。フォーカスしたところは、オーディエンスです。プレゼンをやることを決める前は、恥ずかしいとか、英語が上手くないことのコンプレックス、周りの上級者と比べて自分を卑下したり葛藤の連続でした。でも準備を進めていく内に、みんなが良い提案をしてくれて、人を楽しませようという部分にフォーカスできたおかげで、このプレゼンテーションが成功したのだと思います。

おかげでクラスメイトやティーチャーはもちろん、初めましての人たちにプレゼンの良い評価を頂き、学校内で人気急上昇中？！のおじさんとなりました（笑）

恥ずかしいことをやればやるほど好かれる。出来ないことを必死で、一生懸命やればやるほど応援される。

みんなが笑顔で良かったよって言ってくれたことが、心の底から嬉しくて僕の一生の宝物がまた一つ増えました。
